Creating and purchasing stories

We use the details you enter to personalize your story. Those details and illustration references are sent to OpenAI to generate and check the pages. Stripe processes payments and collects your checkout email. Your order record includes the story purchased, email, amount, payment status, and generation progress so we can provide support. Do not include sensitive information in personalization answers.

Accounts, memberships, and saved books

When you sign in, we use your verified email to keep your books, credit balance, gift redemptions, and membership together. A secure essential cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Resend delivers sign-in emails. Cloudflare stores account records and saved book illustrations so you can resume generation and download your books again. Signing in does not subscribe you to marketing. Contact us to request deletion of your account or saved stories.

Optional visitor analytics

If you allow analytics, we record pages viewed, links and key buttons clicked, approximate device category, and referral or campaign source. Random browser and session identifiers help us count visits. These reports do not contain your email or your child’s personalization answers. Your browser stores your analytics choice and, only if you agree, those random identifiers. You can change your choice using Privacy preferences at the bottom of any page. Declining does not affect purchases.

Order and service records

Payment records and generation success, failure, timing, and retry counts are recorded to operate the service even if optional analytics is declined. Customer records are restricted to the owner dashboard. Optional analytics records older than 13 months are cleaned up as owner reports are refreshed. Purchase and consent records are retained as needed to fulfill purchases, manage requests, and keep business records.

Newsletter choice

Newsletter signup is optional and starts unchecked. We save your consent wording, signup date, and source when you confirm a blog signup, opt in from your verified account, or complete an opted-in live purchase. Members who opt in receive member-only offers while their paid membership is active. Test signups stay separate from the live mailing list. Resend sends signup confirmations and opted-in birthday reward reminders. You may unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter or contact us. Unsubscribing does not affect your purchases or essential order messages.

Birthday rewards and welcome offers

An adult account holder may register one child’s birthday month and day for a membership reward. We do not ask for a birth year in the reward profile. We keep the date and yearly reward record to provide one birthday book per year and prevent duplicate claims. Contact us for corrections or deletion. Browser storage remembers offer dismissal for seven days and limits offer cards to one per session.
